ELECTRONIC REGISTRATIONS Electronic registration is designed to make the registration process easier and faster by eliminating the need for hand written applications and mailing time to the CLRC office. This is accomplished by completing the application form on-line and submitting it to CLRC.Before submitting your first electronic applications, you must download an Electronic Registration Agreement form from the CLRC website. This form must be completed and forwarded to CLRC, who will in turn notify you when you have been approved to do electronic registrations. If you register your cattle in the name of a partnership, farm or company, all of the persons who have signing authority must sign the Agreement form. This form only has to be completed once. Once it has been filed, you may then submit applications electronically at any time. The next step for first time users is to log onto the CLRC website for instructions on how to download the necessary software onto your computer. Again this is a one-time task. Once the software is downloaded, you are ready to submit your applications. As you are completing the applications, you are connected to the CLRC database for Blonde d'Aquitaines. You will receive feedback from the database if you make certain errors that are detected at that time because of the connection, and you will be prompted if information is found to be incorrect or incomplete. This will minimize errors and therefore, the need to contact you for corrections when your applications are being approved. Please note that only the owner at birth of an animal may apply for registration electronically. The program does allow, however, for transfer information to be included if the animal has been sold prior to registration. In certain cases, you may be required to forward required documentation by fax in support of your application. This includes the foreign certificate in the case of registration of imported animals, and embryo documentation for ET calves. Please note that transfers of animals that are already registered cannot be accepted electronically, as the existing certificate must be surrendered to CLRC in order to receive the transferred certificate. The final thing to note regarding electronic registration is that fees must be paid either by credit card or by an existing credit in your Blonde d'Aquitaine account at CLRC. If at anytime you experience difficulties in the electronic registration process, please do not hesitate to contact the CLRC staff. We will be pleased to assist you. Ron Black, General Manager |
